Karl Stoltzfus, Sr. Leads the Restoration of Columbine II
Karl Stoltzfus, Sr., the founder of Dynamic Aviation is the driving force behind saving Columbine II. His passion for aviation is matched only by his passion for history. Unwilling to let the First Air Force One vanish into obscurity, Stoltzfus decided in 2014 to purchase Columbine II and restore it for future generations.
A seasoned pilot with a lifetime of experience, Karl grew-up with airplanes. His father, Chris Stoltzfus was an early aviation pioneer who instilled a love and respect for aircraft in all of his children. Karl, with his twin brother Ken, founded Dynamic Aviation in 1967. The company quickly grew into a thriving business specializing in the modification, maintenance, and operation of various aircraft around the world.
The Virginia Department of Aviation named Karl Person of the Year in 2006 and recognized his numerous contributions to aviation by honoring him with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015.
In 2004, Michael Stoltzfus was named President and CEO of Dynamic Aviation and continues to lead Dynamic Aviation’s growth and the company’s passion for the preservation of historic aircraft.
